CompUSA closing in 2008

This isn’t a huge disappointment to me personally, as I have not been to one in the past year or two. I used to go to CompUSA every once in a while when they had great items for free after mail in rebate. Odd things like compressed cans of air, jewel CD cases, mousepads, etc. were great to pick up there. I have not seen those kinds of items there recently, however. Their customer service wasn’t anything too great from what I remember, so that aspect wasn’t attracting customers to the store. Perhaps getting rid of some of those “free after MIR” offers was the final straw that broke the camel’s back.
